Ever heard of the term "third time's a charm"?

Chris Osgood definitely has.

After nicely securing his 399th win against a lowly New Jersey Devils team, who in point-of-fact were all over the Red Wings, the questions began popping up of when will Chris Osgood win that elusive 400th game?

After carrying the Wings to a Stanley Cup win in 2008, Chris Osgood struggled mightily the following regular season.

He would go on to post a 26-9-10 record but had a dismal .887 save percentage and a 3.09 goals against average.

But once again, that was all forgotten as he carried his team back to the Finals which would end up being won by the same team Osgood beat the following year, the Pittsburgh Penguins.

But, at the start of the 2008-09 season, Osgood was already at 363 wins and was only 37 wins away from 400.

Fast forward to the 2010-11 (this year) season and he has finally won his 400th game.

After winning his 399th on December 11th, Osgood was right back in net for the Red Wings at home against the Dallas Stars on December 19th.
