Eight games are on tap for Sunday's NHL action, which means more options than usual will be available in daily fantasy. With mostly matinee affairs on the slate, let's take a look at the ideal DraftKings lineup to close out the weekend.
Islanders C John Tavares ($8,000)
New York Islanders captain John Tavares checks every box to be a top-dollar option on Sunday.
Not only has he been incredibly consistent with four goals and six assists in his last 10 games, but he also poses the biggest mismatch of the afternoon. His Islanders face the hapless Buffalo Sabres, who have allowed the most goals in the league and rank dead last against opposing centers.
Tavares has the Sabres' number this season, having netted two goals in their only meeting thus far. After scoring his team's only goal against a strong Bruins defense in Saturday's loss, Tavares, and his teammates, will be intent on scoring goal after goal against the Sabres.
