Connor McDavid Injury: Updates on Oilers Star’s Collarbone and Recovery

Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid suffered a fractured collarbone after crashing into the boards during Tuesday night's game against the Philadelphia Flyers. 

On Wednesday, the Oilers announced McDavid underwent successful surgery.

McDavid's Reported Recovery Timeline Revealed  Wednesday, Nov. 4 TSN insider Darren Dreger, via ProHockeyTalk, reported the "best-case scenario" for McDavid's return is seven to eight weeks.

Chiarelli Comments on Diagnosis, Recovery Timeline Wednesday, Nov. 4 Oilers general manager Peter Chiarelli said McDavid will be out "months" after undergoing surgery, per Yahoo Sports.

"He's a strong kid, mentally and physically," Chiarelli added. "He's still developing and he's going to come back stronger."
