Last year, the "Battle of Ontario" was full of fireworks and continues to be one of the great rivalries in the NHL.

It’s not full of flash nor regularly high scoring shootouts, but the level of grit is enough to grind down cement.

Matt Carkner and Colton Orr have had a lovely relationship, if you’re a fan of the pugilistic arts.

Last year, in the last game at the ACC between these two teams, Orr knocked Carkner unconscious after a few pile-driving rights to the jaw. (See Video!)

It’s not far fetched to believe that these two won’t ask one another for a dance in this the first meeting of the year and a coast to coast Saturday night broadcast on Hockey Night in Canada.

While on the subject: I have to think that Mike Brown, Toronto’s new middleweight combatant, would like to introduce himself to Chris Neil. That could be special!

Ottawa will be ready to get back on track versus the Leafs after losing four of six against them last year.

But the Leafs should be riding a high after winning their first game of the season against their mortal enemies, the Montreal Canadiens.
