Chicago Blackhawks: The Patricks (Sharp and Kane) Are Named to All-Star Game

If anyone was due to make the All-Star appearance that he most certainly deserved it was Chicago Blackhawks veteran Patrick Sharp.

No player has meant as much and been as productive as the player who has been with the Blackhawks since 2005. To join him will be Patrick Kane, who has had ups and downs this season coming off the whirlwind championship celebrations that occurred all offseason.

Kane, who is one of the most well-known and marketable players in the game, will join Jonathan Toews and Duncan Keith, who were voted on among the top vote-getters in the game.

Some believe that the captains of the game will be Sidney Crosby and Jonathan Toews. It will be interesting to see how the game goes, as the format has been changed.

It is formatted in the old "backyard" style, in which captains select their teams one after another. So the Blackhawks most likely will be broken up into different teams and will be facing off against each other.

Also making the team as a defenseman will be Dustin Byfuglien, now with the Atlanta Thrashers. It will be nice for "Big Buff" to play with some of his old teammates, whether it be Kane, ...
