Chicago Blackhawks Season Preview: March

March is an important time for any NHL team.  March is the last full month of games prior to the playoffs so teams will be playing hard in order to make the playoffs this month.  The Blackhawks will certainly be no exception to the rule here as they make an attempt to win their second Stanley Cup in just two seasons.

The first game of the month will be played at home against the Calgary Flames.  In action last season, the Blackhawks and the Flames played a total of four games with the Blackhawks winning all four.  If they can have the same success this season it will be much easier for Chicago to get into the playoffs.

After that, Chicago will host the Carolina Hurricanes.  The Blackhawks and the Hurricanes played just one time last season with the Hurricanes winning that game.  Although it’s just one game, the Blackhawks will still want to get a win here so that they can continue moving forward towards the playoffs.
Chicago will take on the Toronto Maple Leafs in Toronto three games into the month.  In action last season, the Blackhawks and the Maple Leafs got together once and the Blackhawks won that lone game.&n ...
