Chicago Blackhawk Fans: Why You Shouldn’t Give Up on the ‘Hawks

The Blackhawks' third period woes continued Monday night in Calgary. The Blackhawks were tied 1-1 going into the third period.

What looked like the day the Hawks might break the third period curse saw the tides turn, and Hawk fans witnessed a familiar story unfold.  

Both teams played a very tightly-knit, but exciting second period. But the Blackhawks had the momentum heading into the third due to a power-play that overlapped. 

It was another tease by the returning Stanley Cup champions. 

Not only did they fail to convert that power-play, but all three Monday night. That definitely didn't help the cause.

Calgary used their chances wisely, and in the third scored what would be the game-winning goal. 20 times, now, the Hawks have gone into the third period tied or with a one goal lead.

They've only garnered four points out of those games.

Yeah, it's that bad.

But, despite the obvious downers this season, there still is hope.

Coming off of the Super Bowl weekend, you may have noticed that the Hawks had fallen down to the 11th spot in the Western Conference.
