Canucks D Matt Bartkowski’s Mom Overcome with Joy in Interview After Son Scores

When the family of a professional athlete attends a game, it's always great to see their reactions when the player does something notable.

Those takes are brought to the next level when it's the athlete's parents giving them.

On Tuesday night in Denver, Beth Bartkowski—the mother of the Vancouver Canucks' Matt Bartkowski—watched her son play against the Colorado Avalanche. The 27-year-old defenseman gave his mom reason to cheer midway through the second period by finding the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1.

Moments later, Beth (understandably) had trouble containing her excitement as she did an interview.

Just watching her son play would have made for a great experience. However, seeing Matt score and having the Canucks pull out a 3-1 win made the game that much better for her.
