Dec.15, 2010---The Vancouver Canucks finished off a short 1-game road trip in Edmonton to come home hosting Rick Nash and his Columbus Blue Jackets.

It might be a surprise to many in Vancouver, but Mathieu Garon is getting the start tonight at Rogers Arena over youngster Steve Mason. So far this season, Mathieu Garon has given the team a chance to win games, and has very good numbers in his stints starting as the No. 1 netminder. Already, Garon has posted 3 shutouts, 7 wins, and .925 save percentage.

Your star netminder Roberto Luongo is expected to be back in action again at home, while a few players might be missing from tonight's actions. Mikael Samuelsson is out, so is Christian Ehrhoff and Sami Salo.

For the Blue Jackets, Nikita Filatov is sent down to the minors and will not be in uniform tonight here in Vancouver.

Look for a low scoring game, as the Blue Jackets have played games where two teams scored a total of 5 goals or less combined five out of the last six games.
