Bruins Tyler Seguin & the Oilers Taylor Hall: Midseason Report

The All-Star break is upon us, so let’s check on the Tyler-Taylor Tally at the NHL’s midpoint of the season. 

When we last checked in on the top two picks of the 2010 entry draft, both Seguin and Hall had seven points in 16 games.

Let’s see where they stand fresh off their first 50 games and an appearance at the NHL All-Star game.

Taylor Hall has pulled ahead of Tyler Seguin in the rookie scoring race but they both trail the Hurricanes’ Jeff Skinner (40 points) overall.

Hall has 31 points (16 goals and 15 assists) in 49 games with a minus-10 rating. Seguin's production has tailed off a bit with just 16 points (seven goals and nine assists) with a plus-1 rating in 48 games.

However, as mentioned in our previous installment of “The Tyler-Taylor Tally”, Seguin does not have to be the man right now. The Bruins are loaded with talent and are sitting atop of the Northeast Division and are third in the Eastern Conference.
