In one corner, we have the Boston Bruins!

In the other corner, we have the Dallas Stars!

Let's get ready to rumble!

The matchup between the Boston Bruins and Dallas Stars on Thursday wasn't intended to be a boxing match.

But, boy, did it sure resemble one.

Both teams set an NHL record by getting into three separate fights in four seconds Thursday in the Bruins' 6-3 victory.

As soon as the game started, Boston's Gregory Campbell went after Dallas' Steve Ott, who likely was trying to settle the score after Ott went after him last season when he was with the Florida Panthers.

After a close bout drew blood, players took their positions to get back to playing the actual game.

But that didn't last long.

Boston's Shawn Thornton went head-to-head with Dallas' Krys Barch as soon as the puck hit the ice, which culminated in the 6'2", 217-pound left wing pummeling Barch amid roars from the crowd and teammates slamming their sticks next to the ice.

Again, players took their positions.

This time, it didn't take one second for a new fight to break out...it took two ...
