Bruce Boudreau’s Mom Unhappy with “F-Bombs” From Washington Capitals Coach

Washington Capitals head coach Bruce Boudreau can't catch a break as of late.

His team is on a seven-game losing streak, many fans and pundits are calling for him to be fired and now his mom has joined in. Boudreau's mother, Theresa, caught an excerpt from the premiere of HBO's 24/7 series featuring the Capitals and the Pittsburgh Penguins and she was not happy with what she heard from her son.

Boudreau told the Washington Post, "My mom already called me about how many F-bombs I used. It was a passionate speech. It wasn't anything that I'm sitting there and manufacturing up the word just to say the word. When you're talking with passion, I'm not sure what's coming out of my mouth, quite frankly. I know the ideas, but that's what came out."

The show featured an explicative laced speech that Boudreau recently delivered to his players during a 7-0 loss to the New York Rangers.

Boudreau is not the first coach to hear from his mother about his choice of language on an HBO series. The New York Jets Rex Ryan heard the same criticism from his mother during the airing of the Hard Knocks series.
