We have previously wondered what were Bob Gainey's biggest moves since he came into office with the Montreal Canadiens.

Some have talked about Alexei Kovalev, some about Carey Price, but here is another one that might top some charts: Guillaume Latendresse is no longer a Canadiens.

The hype surrounding Latendresse has always been reportedly associated with his birth certificate.

Drafted 45th overall, his arrival with the team has been surrounded by enormoys scrutiny. What has followed has not met fans and the Organization's expectations. Today, Gainey decided to take a decision.

In return, the Habs get Benoit Pouliot from the Minnesota Wild.

Benoit has been drafted fourth overall in 2005, but his statistics in the NHL have not lived up to the expectations either.

Probabilities are he will join the Habs farm team, as the big club recalled Sergei Kostitsyn. So for those who have been wondering why in the world Tender was still so highly praised in Montreal; well today is your lucky day!
