Boston Bruins vs. Pittsburgh Penguins Game 1: Live Score, Updates & Analysis

June 1st, 2013 by Franklin Steele Leave a reply »
Game 1 between the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins is over, Tuukka Rask has recorded a shutout and the B's have won on the road by a final score of 3-0

David Krejci scored in the first period, then tacked on another goal early in the third. Nathan Horton made the Penguins pay for an over-aggressive play, giving Pittsburgh an awfully tall mountain to climb to get back into this game.

The goals will likely be overshadowed by a hit-from-behind by Matt Cooke, and some rough stuff that followed the second period.

Rask was absolutely outstanding in earning his first career playoff shutout, stymieing an offense that has averaged four goals a game in these playoffs so far.

Boston Bruins 3, Pittsburgh Penguins 0 (FINAL)
