Boston Bruins Practice Snowy: Players Shovel the Ice

For many NHL fans, skating on the ice at historic Fenway Park would be a dream come true.

Funny, judging by all the smiles radiating off the Boston Bruins players today, you’d think they were fulfilling a dream as well.

Led by Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara, whose shovel was far too short, numerous Bruins players cleaned the ice, with a smile on their faces to boot.

Media members were privileged to watch the Bruins practice, although I suspect the troops were more or less just going through the motions.

That said, the Bruins organization is making every effort to keep the players away from distractions, going so far as to put the team up in a local hotel this evening. The fact that the Bruins are making an effort to treat this event as an away game is honorable, but let’s face it, with all the local distractions, calls for tickets and the hoopla in the streets, it’s tough to hide the energy of Boston from the players.
