Boston Bruins’ Jarome Iginla Records Career Assist No. 600

Boston Bruins winger Jarome Iginla picked up his 600th career assist in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks. Iginla achieved the milestone in stylish fashion, as he also scored a goal in Tuesday's game, and he now has 11 points in his last six contests.

The torrid stretch of play shouldn't come as a surprise, as Iginla has been streaky all season long. He previously piled up eight points in a five-game stretch in October, then later scored four goals in a three-game span toward the end of December.

All in all, the hot and cold stretches have evened out, and Iginla's 60-point pace is right in line with his production in recent years.

Iginla has always known for scoring goals more than dishing out assists, yet his longevity and solid passing skills have allowed him to become the 78th player in NHL history with 600 career assists.

As one might expect, Iginla has a much higher standing on the all-time goals leader board, with his 546 career goals good for 28th place in NHL history.
