The San Jose Sharks are close to putting a stranglehold on their Western Conference Final series after blanking the St. Louis Blues 3-0 in Game 3.
The Sharks have a 2-1 lead in the series and goalie Martin Jones has nailed the Blues with back-to-back shutouts.
The Blues have not scored a goal since the second period of Game 1 in the series.
Tomas Hertl scored goals in the first and third period for the Sharks, and Joe Thornton dished out assists on both goals. Joonas Donskoi scored the other goal for the Sharks in the second period after taking a sharp pass from the Logan Couture.
The Sharks and Blues will play Game 4 of the series Saturday night at the SAP Center.
