The Chicago Blackhawks have survived and advanced, but it didn't come easy.
When Marian Hossa scored into an empty net late in the third period, it gave the Blackhawks a 4-1 lead. However, the Wild surged with two goals in the final minute to get to within 4-3. Mikko Koivu nearly tied it with a wrist shot in the final seconds, but he could not find the back of the net and the Blackhawks held on.
Chicago swept the series in four games. Patrick Kane scored in every game of the series, while Corey Crawford outplayed Minnesota goalie Devan Dubnyk.
The Blackhawks move on to the Western Conference Final, and they will play the winner of the Anaheim-Calgary series.
