Patrick Kane's power-play goal late in the first period held up the rest of the way in the Chicago Blackhawks' 1-0 win over the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night at the Xcel Energy Center.

Corey Crawford was brilliant with 30 saves for his fourth career playoff shutout to lift his team to a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference playoff series.

The Wild came into Tuesday's game confident despite falling behind in the series with a pair of road losses in Chicago.

Minnesota has been in this situation in each of the last three postseasons—down 2-0 to Chicago—but it always rallied back and found a way to extend the series with a win in Game 3.

That string of luck ran out tonight, and it was Kane's shot on Devan Dubnyk, which squirted through the wickets, that proved the decisive marker.

Dubnyk was solid in net himself, often keeping his team in the game, and stopped 21 of 22 shots faced.

Kane has scored as many goals—four—in this series as the Wild have as a team.

Minnesota look to avoid elimination when it hosts Game 4 Thursday night.
