The Blackhawks will face a serious challenge to match that record, as their next game (on Thursday night) will be a rematch of last season's Stanley Cup Final, with Chicago squaring off against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Tampa's Amalie Arena.
Speaking of which, the Blackhawks are just the sixth defending Stanley Cup champion to record a winning streak of 12 games or more the following season, with the 1992-93 Pittsburgh Penguins owning the high mark of 17 straight wins, per Sportsnet Stats.
