Blackhawks’ Kris Versteeg Shows Ref Broken Tooth to Plead Case for Penalty

February 20th, 2015 by Kyle Newport Leave a reply »

During the second period of Friday's game, the Chicago Blackhawks' Kris Versteeg did everything he could to try to convince the referees to call a penalty against the Colorado Avalanche's Brad Stuart.

He had quite a compelling argument, considering he walked away from the play with a broken tooth.

Versteeg spit out his broken tooth on his way back to the bench and then proceeded to try to use the "injury" to show the refs that a penalty had been committed. Unfortunately for him, the refs weren't sold. No penalty was called.
