Blackhawks’ 5-0 Win Over The Edmonton Oilers Is A Sign Of Things to Come

For the first time in all season the Blackhawks looked unstoppable. A 5-0 win and a hat trick will do that.

Wednesday night's game looked, felt , and had all the aspects of a game from last season.

It's all about puck control.

The Blackhawks out shot Edmonton 47-18. That is a HUGE margin, and, for the Blackhawks, those types of games haven't happened that often this season.

It's tough for any team to beat another team when you only have 18 shots compared to their 47, and that's exactly what was shown Wednesday night. It's hard to beat the Blackhawks, let alone any team, when the shots against margin is that huge. 

It was a huge improvement from previous games where the Blackhawks committed a lot of turnovers. 

Could this be the start of the resurgence of the Blackhawks? 

Quite possibly. 

Marty Turco earned his first shutout with the Blackhawks and the 41st of his career. His teammates, especially the first line, greatly helped in the shutout effort.
