Anaheim Ducks Beat Vancouver Canucks 4-3 in First Regular Season Win

This past Wednesday Anaheim tallied their first regular season win after three heart-breaking losses with a 4-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks.

Anaheim started off strong with a power play goal less than three minutes into the game.  Bobby Ryan lofted a gorgeous saucer pass that landed perfectly on the stick of captain Ryan Getzlaf, who slipped the puck just past Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo. 

With that goal, the Ducks had their first lead of the season, which was cut at one minute, 16 seconds.  The first would soon get away from the Ducks when Vancouver scored twice within 18 seconds.  The Ducks returned to the locker room after the first 20 minutes down 2-1.

The second period would be scoreless for 15 minutes, until Teemu Selanne scored a beautiful power play goal with assists going to Getzlaf and Visnovsky.  Definitely a highlight-reel worthy goal, Selanne tallies his first goal of the season, hopefully the first of many more to come.
