Alexander Ovechkin Video: Watch Ovechkin’s Breakaway Goal vs. Florida Panthers

The Alexander Ovechkin video is on the internet; we've seen him make plenty of amazing plays, but few of them are better than this from last night's game.

Ovechkin flies down the left boards, plays the puck off of the bounce and flies towards the net. He gets tripped as he fires the puck past the goalie, goes flying across the ice and comes up covered in ice shavings for another amazing highlight reel play.

It put the Capitals up and was the difference in Washington's win over Florida.

Ovechkin has 15 goals on the year, and his pace has been off of what we're used to seeing from the All-Star in his NHL career.

"My numbers are not that good or where they're supposed to be," Ovechkin said to the media. "But it's the middle of the season, and there are 40 games left. We'll see what's going to happen at the end of the year."

Either way, Ovechkin and the Capitals will be a force for the rest of the season, and I expect to see Ovechkin give us plenty more plays like this and improve his scoring rate as we go forward. He's too good of a player to not get back in the score sheet.
