A Newcoming Fan’s Perspective of Joining the ‘Hawks’ Faithful Glory

After years of watching my childhood and present hero — my father — watch every single Chicago Bears game, I came to the conclusion of a long awaited decision for him. I took a beside my dad on the couch, while he quietly smirked with pleasure beside me on the recliner.

I was immediately engulfed in pleasure, watching all 16 Chicago Bears' games with my father and mother.

I grew into the habit of displaying emotions throughout every single play from scrimmage — from yelling, jumping out of my seat while throwing my hands in the air, exchanging hard high-fives full of excitement between me and my father, everything.

Following the Chicago Bears' 13-3 Super Bowl-losing season, I vowed to become an all Chicago fan and follow his footsteps, and it was one of the best decisions of my life.

 

Present day, 2010

Fast forward four years later, and I find myself with the same compassion and magic-filled feelings toward the amazing city of Chicago.
