It's shaping up to be another interesting season in the NHL's Atlantic Division. In 2014-15, the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning dueled for the top spot in the standings. The Detroit Red Wings made the playoffs for the 24th straight season, while the Ottawa Senators made a stunning late-season run to earn a playoff berth.

Looking ahead to 2015-16, the Lightning and Canadiens should once again be the division's dominant teams. The transitioning Red Wings could find it challenging to maintain their postseason streak, while the rising Senators should once again challenge for a playoff spot.

The once-mighty Boston Bruins could be jockeying for postseason contention with the hungry young Florida Panthers. The rebuilding Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs will likely bring up the rear.

The following slideshow previews the Atlantic Division for 2015-16 and predicts where the eight teams will finish in the standings. We'll examine the best old and new rivalries, as well as the division's best forward line, defense pairing and goaltender. Feel free to voice your opinions in the comments section below.
