2012 NHL Stanley Cup Finals Schedule: Cup Finals Set to Begin on May 30

At this point in time neither of the NHL Conference final series have been decided, but that fact has not prevented the league from assembling the seven game schedule for the 2012 Stanley Cup Finals. You see, both remaining Eastern Conference teams had more regular season points than their Western Conference counterparts, giving the winner from the East home ice advantage throughout the finals.

The New York Rangers finished in first place in the Eastern Conference. The “Blueshirts” record of 51-24-7 gave them 109 points. Their current opponents, the New Jersey Devils finished in sixth place in the conference with a record of 48-28-6, good enough for 102 points.

The Western Conference competitors did not crack the 100-point barrier. The Phoenix Coyotes topped the Pacific Division with a record of 42-27-13, which gave them 97 points. The Los Angeles Kings finished two points behind the Coyotes, with a record of 40-27-15.
