2011 NHL Predictions: 5 Reasons the Flyers Have a Shot at the Stanley Cup

The Philadelphia Flyers had an incredibly active offseason, trading away Mike Richards and Jeff Carter while signing numerous quality players. GM Paul Holmgren used the word "different" to describe this upcoming season's team, which is an understatement.

But "different" does not always necessarily mean "good," especially with the rumors of tension in the locker room and questions regarding the desire of some players. Yet this is still an incredibly talented team, and I fully expect them to make the playoffs in 2012 where they will make a serious run for the Stanley Cup.
