According to reports coming out of Vancouver on Monday, Canadian coach Mike Babcock will pull the plug on Martin Brodeur and start Canucks' netminder Roberto Luongo in the first round of the Olympic playoffs against Germany.

Luongo started the first game of the round-robin part of the tournament for Canada and shut out Norway. It helped that Canada scored eight goals in that game; they scored a total of six in the two subsequent games with Brodeur in net.
