Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph has been accused of strangling a woman at a hotel in Los Angeles during an incident that allegedly occurred Wednesday.

In breaking the news, TMZ cited a report filed with the Los Angeles Police Department on Thursday morning. Sources told TMZ the woman claimed "to have a black eye, multiple bruises on her back, a sprained neck and sore ribs."

Randolph's agent, Raymond Brothers, said, per TMZ, "It's a false police report."

The woman who filed the police report said she was a model, and the LAPD report also said she suffered "bruising to her neck."

The Grizzlies lost to the Los Angeles Lakers, 107-100, on Tuesday at Staples Center.

Randolph had a fair amount of off-court issues during his younger life and the earlier parts of his NBA career, particularly with the Portland Trail Blazers.

But since arriving in Memphis, Randolph has largely kept out of any notable trouble and has been an exemplary cornerstone of the Grizzlies franchise. The 34-year-old veteran is averaging 14.9 points and 8.0 rebounds per contest this season.
