Yao Ming: His Last Year in the NBA?

Yao Ming was first drafted into the NBA in 2002. Now eight years later, his career as a professional basketball player could be over, thanks to the severe injuries he has suffered over the last five seasons.

Ming has been one of the star players for the Houston Rockets since they drafted him in the 2002 NBA Draft. Unfortunately, it seems that for the last five seasons, he has either played well through the regular season and then suffered an injury right before the playoffs, or been injured during the regular season and sat out.

With all of these injuries, it seems that this could be his final year as a professional basketball player.

According to a blogger on CBS Sports, Ming has said that one day or another he will have to quit the game of basketball.

With comments like these, it seems that Yao has recognized the fact that he is no longer a young player, and it might be time to walk away for good if he can’t keep himself from getting injured every season on the court.

While his loss won’t be too devastating to the game of basketball, his absence will be noticed.
