Sacramento Kings center Willie Cauley-Stein has the makings of a star, but the talented rookie suffered a head injury Sunday that may put his progress on hold.

Kings: No Acute Concussion Symptoms for Cauley-Stein Sunday, Nov. 15 The Kings announced that Cauley-Stein did not have any "acute concussion symptoms" but would miss the remainder of the contest. According to James Ham of CSNBayArea.com, Cauley-Stein will undergo further evaluation Monday morning.

An ankle injury that required surgery knocked Cauley-Stein out for the end of Kentucky's 2014 NCAA tournament run, but he came back with a strong 2014-15 campaign. Kentucky wound up winning 38 games in a row as Cauley-Stein vaulted himself into the NBA draft lottery.

After making him the No. 6 overall pick in the 2015 draft, Sacramento ought to tread with caution when it comes to Cauley-Stein's return. The Kings already have an All-Star center in DeMarcus Cousins and can reshuffle their lineup by sliding in Kosta Koufos as a frontcourt starter.
