Why Spurs Players Continue To Wear LeBron James’ Sneakers During 2013 NBA Finals

As we all know, NBA players care about the shoes they wear on the court. Comfort is key, and style is always a plus.

Sure, you might be wearing a fellow player's signature shoe. No big deal. It's not like you have to play against that player for two to three weeks—unless you're the San Antonio Spurs playing against LeBron James and the Miami Heat in the 2013 NBA Finals.

Why change a pair of shoes that you've worn all season? Pride? Superstition? Mickael Pietrus tried this tactic of changing his sneakers (endorsed by Kobe Bryant) during the 2009 NBA Finals when he had to defend Kobe. That didn't work out in his favor.

I spoke with Manu Ginobili, Danny Green and Cory Joseph to find out what they like about LBJ's kicks and if they're considering swapping them out.

Would you consider switching out your opponent's sneakers for another pair in the finals? Comment below!
