Why Buying the Golden State Warriors Is a Sound Financial Investment

Or is that two words?

Two Words: Market Share.

Whatever it is, the Golden State Warriors present a sound investment for anyone looking to buy an NBA team.

The main reason for this is market share.

The Bay Area is the sixth biggest metropolitan area in the U.S. and has a fan base that supports two baseball team, two football teams, and the one major sport team that has no competition in their respective sport besides the Warriors (the Sharks) is thriving.

So in an area that supports two teams of a given sport...the Warriors as the only team in the Bay Area in the NBA can bring in huge bucks if they are managed correctly.

Anyone remember the old Dave Chappelle routine where he makes fun of San Franciscans for thinking they are so racially evolved and accepting of black people.  Then he screams, "You're not more racially sensitive, you just shipped all the 'n*ers' over the bridge to Oakland!"

Hilarious and probably true if you consider the gentrification of Hayes Valley and Hunter's Point.
