Washington Wizards Win NBA Draft Lottery; Another Loss For The Nets

May 19th, 2010 by Matt Wagner Leave a reply »
It's official: the New Jersey Nets are easily the NBA's worst team.

I know that they do not have the worst record of all-time, but they are the unluckiest team the NBA has ever seen.

After having the second worst record of all-time, it seemed that the Nets were a lock to have the number one pick in the 2010 Draft. But all that changed on May 18th, when the Washington Wizards made the seemingly impossible jump to win the John Wall sweepstakes.

So not only do the Nets lose the player that could have saved the franchise, but they probably pulled themselves out of LeBron James chase in the process.

LeBron would have most likely considered the Nets as a top three option if they had gotten Wall, but now they have most likely lost the opportunity to get Wall or Ohio State forward Evan Turner. And being only a 12-win team, well, there is too many things going wrong in New Jersey for LeBron to head to the Nets.

Bottom Line: If you are a New Jersey Nets fan, you really shouldn't go to a casino anytime soon.
