Behind a star performance from John Wall, the Washington Wizards beat the defending champion San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, 101-93.

Wall picked his spots brilliantly, knowing when his team needed him to score and when it needed him to pass. He played facilitator in the first quarter, dishing out three assists, then turned it on with his scoring in the second and third quarters. He finished with a game-high 25 points on 9-of-15 shooting.

Kevin Seraphin provided a lot of offense off the bench in the fourth quarter, pouring in 17 points and grabbing eight rebounds.

The Spurs were led by Tony Parker, who scored 14 points, but took 18 shots to get there. Patty Mills scored 12 off the bench and hit four threes. Tim Duncan pitched in with 12 rebounds and 11 points.

San Antonio's next game will be on the road, against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET. The Wizards will also be on the road, taking on the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.
