Washington 92, Memphis 83—Final

John Wall carried the short-handed Washington Wizards over the Memphis Grizzlies 92-83 Saturday night at FedExForum.

The All-Star point guard racked up 18 points, 14 assists and six rebounds, propelling the Wizards (44-33) to their first win in Memphis since 2004. Bradley Beal netted a game-high 20 points.

Washington was without Paul Pierce, Nene and Garrett Temple, who were each given a night off. Drew Gooden added 16 points in Nene's place, while Otto Porter managed seven points, six boards and three steals as Pierce's replacement.

Marc Gasol paced Memphis (52-25) with 18 points and 11 rebounds, but Dave Joerger's crew never led after game-opening free throws from Mike Conley.

In addition to the Grizzlies misfiring on 14 of their 15 three-point attempts, the Wizards earned a 26-5 advantage in fast-break points. Jeff Green left the game during the third quarter due to back spasms and did not return.
