Behind a balanced attack from Nikola Mirotic, Aaron Brooks and Pau Gasol, the Chicago Bulls defended their home floor and beat the Washington Wizards, 97-92 on Tuesday.

For the second game in a row, Mirotic led the way in the scoring department, dropping 23 points on 6-of-13 shooting. He wasn't just shooting jumpers, either, as he worked his way to the line over and over. He finished 8-of-11 from the stripe.

Aaron Brooks added 22 points and eight assists. Pau Gasol went for 20 points and 10 rebounds, including an offensive board that sealed the game for the Bulls with under 10 seconds left.

The Wizards were led by John Wall, who scored 21 points and dished out 11 assists. Paul Pierce scored 16 and went 4-of-6 from three-point range.

Washington will return home for its next game to take on the Miami Heat, Friday at 7 p.m. ET. Chicago will be at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
