Washington Wizards Reach New Low, Solicit Inbounds Play from Fans

December 16th, 2009 by Jarrett Carter Leave a reply »
As if the Wizards weren’t in a bad enough spot, ESPN is running a promotion for fans to draw up an inbounds play that the Wizards will use in a game.

Knowing their luck, here are the possible outcomes from such an exercise, in order of likelihood:

1. Gilbert Arenas is fouled on the play, misses both free throws, and the Wiz go on to lose by one.

2. Andray Blatche turns the ball over.

3. Antawn Jamison strains his shoulder shooting an awkward, off-balance fade away jumper at the elbow.

4. Earl Boykins scores.

5. Flip Saunders calls timeout to draw another play.
