Washington Wizards Keep Improving, as Josh Howard Re-Signs with the Team

On February 13th, 2010, small forward Josh Howard had just found out that he was traded to one of the league's worst teams, the Washington Wizards. As if things could not get worse for Howard, they did. On March 16th, 2010 had discovered that he needed surgery on his torn left ACL, and he was going to be out 6-8 months.

Howard, as you can see, has been under a lot of stress and pressure with being traded and then getting injured. In addition, he is being paid over $11M for sitting on the sidelines.

With his career in jeopardy and his future team up for grabs, the Wizards were the first to jump to the conclusion that they could get Howard for a bargain, better than what he was paid last season. If he fully recovers, he could have the chance to be the great small forward he was in Dallas.

While in Dallas, Howard showed signs of becoming a star, averaging 20 points and seven rebounds in the 2007-08 season, in which he was an All-Star. Then minor injury after minor injury set his game back a few seasons. 

Then Howard was shipped out to Washington where he was hoping for a new start. And ...
