He may not admit it, but Gilbert Arenas has done everything in his power over the last year to try and get the Washington Wizards to trade him. The only problem is that the Washington Wizards did everything in their power to put themselves in a position to make him nearly impossible to move.
It wasn’t but a few short years ago that “Agent Zero” was a fast-rising NBA star. He was one of the best players in the league and a fan favorite. He was a pioneer for the use of social media among athletes and that helped lead to his quickly increasing popularity.
Add three years, a handful of injuries and significant off-the-court issues and you’re left with the current day Arenas.
When Arenas faked an injury just days ago to “let Nick Young get more playing time,” it became quite obvious that he no longer cares about the Wizards or how much longer he is around. He continues to play coy about wanting to be traded, but is anyone buying his sarcastic banter?
