How productive can Javale McGee actually turn out to be?

Interesting, because I have no clue.

We saw him devouring 20-footers in college, mind-boggling opponents with his athleticism in the NBA's 2010 Summer League, but McGee is consistently caught napping throughout the 82 games of the regular season. 

Why though? Can it be the project syndrome?

It has to be. But not only that, veterans Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison, not forgetting Caron Butler, mapped an uneasy strangulation on the early development stages of his career.

Those are three players who've managed to try to stay relevant throughout their respective neglected careers.

We rarely heard about Arenas putting it down until the 2005 NBA playoffs. And when his name was brought up prior, of course, everyone knew he was a gunner and gifted scorer.

Applying that system of belief to the other two in Jamsion and Butler, you not only have McGee's career being occluded, but you have Nick Young's and Andray Blatche's careers being occluded.
