October 28th, 2016 by Andy Bailey Leave a reply »
Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors overcame a stellar performance from Anthony Davis to beat the New Orleans Pelicans, 122-114, Friday at the Smoothie King Center.

Durant led the way for the Warriors, scoring 30 points, grabbing 17 rebounds and dishing out six assists. Klay Thompson pitched in with 28 points and four assists. Stephen Curry had 23 points and seven assists.

The Pelicans, meanwhile, got another incredible performance from Davis. After going for 50 points and 16 rebounds in the season opener, Davis went for 45 and 17 against the Warriors. Once again, he simply didn't have enough help from his supporting cast.

New Orleans will now travel to San Antonio to play the Spurs on Saturday night. The Warriors will be in Phoenix to play the Suns on Sunday.
