Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry recorded his fourth triple-double of the season in Friday's 112-95 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, becoming the first Warriors player since Wilt Chamberlain in 1963-64 with four or more triple-doubles in the same season, per GSW stats on twitter.
Four of Curry's five career triple-doubles have happened this season, with the other occurring back in February of 2010 during his rookie campaign.
Oddly enough, Curry's rebounding numbers haven't changed much on a per-game basis, but his boards seem to be coming in bunches. Though he's averaging 4.1 rebounds per game for his career and 4.3 this season, five of Curry's 10 career double-digit rebounding performances have come during the 2013-14 campaign.
Given that he's averaging 23.6 points and 8.5 assists in 2013-14, the sharpshooting Warrior has a good shot at a 3x2 any time he manages to snag 10 boards.
Curry is tied for the NBA lead in triple-doubles this season, as Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson and Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah have also recorded four, per NBA.com/stats on twitter.
