Warriors Set Record for Most 3-Pointers in Half vs. Suns

The Golden State Warriors set a prominent NBA record with their 16-0 start earlier in the week, but they added another notch to their 2015-16 resume during Friday’s 135-116 win over the Phoenix Suns.

Golden State set the record for the most three-point shots made in a half with 15, according to NBA.com, which also provided a graphic showcasing the team's connections from beyond the arc:



The Warriors missed only five three-pointers in the first half and reached 75 points in a half for the second time this season—a league high, per GSWStats:



Stephen Curry accounted for seven of the 15 threes in the first half, bringing his season total to 85, and was on pace to break the NBA record of 12, according to Scott Ostler of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Entering Friday, Curry had 33 more connections from beyond the arc than second-place Damian Lillard, who had 45.

The previous record of 14 three-pointers in a half was held by the Los Angeles Lakers, who set the mark Feb. 28, 2014, against the Sacramento Kings, according to CSN Bay Area.
