Warriors’ Plane to Houston for Game 3 Delayed 6 Hours Due to Mechanical Issues

Few teams have been able to ground the high-flying Golden State Warriors on the court this season, but mechanical issues with their plane prevented them from arriving in Houston on time Friday.

After taking a 2-0 lead over the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Finals, the Dubs' flight to Houston for Saturday's Game 3 was delayed six hours, according to Ken Berger of CBSSports.com:



Due to the problems with their original plane, the Warriors had to switch to a different one before making the trip from Oakland to Houston, per Ann Killion of the San Francisco Chronicle:



Golden State still has plenty of time to get prepared since Saturday's contest doesn't start until 9 p.m. ET, but it did mess with the No. 1-seeded team's rhythm.

According to ESPN.com's Ethan Strauss, the Warriors were forced to cancel their scheduled practice Friday:



Perhaps that will give the reeling Rockets a slight advantage, although it seems as if Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are capable of knocking down threes as soon as they step off the plane.
