Warriors Extend NBA-Record Home Winning Streak to 50 Games

The Golden State Warriors extended their NBA-record home winning streak to 50 games with Wednesday's 121-85 blowout victory over the New York Knicks, per NBA.com/stats.

Having already smashed the Chicago Bulls' old record of 44 consecutive home wins (1995-96), the Warriors are now just nine games away from becoming the first team to finish an NBA season with a perfect 41-0 record at home.

Of course, the San Antonio Spurs are vying for the same honor, with their own home winning streak (42 games) also dating back to last season and ranking as the third-longest in league history.

To make matters more interesting, the Spurs and Warriors have three meetings remaining on the schedule, with two of those coming in San Antonio, including Saturday's nationally televised clash.

The Warriors would surely love to come away with a victory, which would all but lock up the Western Conference's top seed, in addition to assuring that only one team can post an undefeated home record this season.
