Vince Carter Injury: Updates on Grizzlies Forward’s Calf and Return

The seemingly ageless Vince Carter will continue to miss time after the veteran Memphis Grizzlies swingman suffered a left calf strain during Friday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Carter to Miss Second Straight Game vs. Rockets Monday, March 14

Ronald Tillery of the Commercial Appeal noted Carter's calf was still bothering him, and Calvin Watkins of ESPN.com confirmed the 39-year-old would miss Monday night's contest against the Houston Rockets.

The former superstar is the latest to join Memphis' beleaguered bench of injured players. 

Lance Stephenson was questionable for Monday’s game with a bothersome wrist, per Tillery. Mike Conley (Achilles), Chris Andersen (shoulder) and Zach Randolph (knee) have each missed the past four games because of injury, leaving Memphis in a scramble to find players to chew up minutes. 

The Grizzlies are already without Marc Gasol (foot) and Mario Chalmers (Achilles), who both suffered season-ending injuries.
