The Denver Nuggets have had the same basic core in place for the past few years, but they have been unable to become contenders in the Western Conference.  

Because of that and the hiring of new head coach Michael Malone, talk is heating up regarding potential moves, including a possible trade involving point guard Ty Lawson.

Nuggets Reportedly Shopping Lawson to Kings Tuesday, June 23 The Nuggets have missed the playoffs in each of the past two seasons after 10 consecutive playoff appearances, mostly under George Karl. With things heading in the wrong direction, Lawson's days with the organization could be numbered.

The 27-year-old point guard enjoyed another strong season in 2014-15 with 15.2 points and a career-high 9.6 assists per game, but Denver could only muster 30 wins.

With a shakeup of some kind needed desperately, ESPN.com's Chris Broussard is hearing that the Nuggets and the Sacramento Kings could execute a swap of Lawson for forward Rudy Gay.
