A Colorado judge sentenced Indiana Pacers point guard Ty Lawson to a year of supervised probation Tuesday stemming from an arrest in January 2015, per the Associated Press (via Pro Basketball Talk).
According to the Denver Post's Tom McGhee, Lawson will also have to serve 48 hours of community service and complete 52 hours of therapy.
In November, Lawson pleaded guilty to charges of driving while impaired and failure to drive in a single lane. Following his guilty plea, the NBA suspended him for two games.
In July, Lawson was arrested on DUI charges in Los Angeles and subsequently entered a rehabilitation center for a 30-day program. The arrest resulted in a three-game suspension from the league.
Independent of his troubles off the court, this has been Lawson's worst season in his seven-year NBA career. In 55 games for the Houston Rockets, he averaged 5.8 points and 3.4 assists per game and shot 38.7 percent from the field. The Rockets waived Lawson on March 1.
